Just a little thought:
Have you ever staked your tent from the inside of the tent?

    Not to mention enlarging said tent from within, once constructed.

      crowding inside may not actually enlarge said tent, so much as render it stuffy, infection ridden, and the dwellers therein sweaty yet unable to move very much. But that’s only if they are inside. the funny thing would be to crowd around the outside, and pretend we are all inside, while the winds and waves blow us this way and that.

    Gentiles have always been adept at pretending – consistently able to assume roles and play parts and make believe. A gathering within an imagined tent would be funny, and infectious, but not infectiously funny.

    This may apply from Isaiah 5
    26 ¶And he will lift up an ensign to the nations FROM FAR, and will hiss unto them FROM the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
    27 None shall be weary nor stumble among THEM, none shall slumber nor sleep;

    This is quoted as if the church is sending out this “ensign” TO the ends of the earth and they wont be weary, rather than taking the words as they are written: God will lift the ensign from afar or in other words, from without or outside the nations or central control, and that those whom God sends from without will not be weary as they come to “roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.” Sounds like a similar prophecy about a young lion tearing something to shreds in the BofM…

      It is interesting that alongside Ezekiel 14, the chapter from Isaiah you’ve given here was also read by Joseph Smith to the church; they apparently thought of themselves as raising the ensign, but as you point out, it is from far away that it is raised.
